Become a Monthly Solidarity Sustainer
Solidarity Sustainers are vital to increasing PVWC’s resources and sustainability throughout the entire year. Monthly sustaining donations ensure we spend more time organizing and protecting our community and less time raising funds. No amount is too small - donations of any amount are welcome!
When you become a Monthly Solidarity Sustainer, you’re supporting our work to:
- Protect our immigrant community. PVWC prepares members with the information and tools necessary to protect ourselves, such as hosting Know Your Rights trainings, helping people obtain their driver’s licenses, meeting members’ basic needs through our food distribution, connecting them with legal services, and coordinating a Community Defense Network.
- Fight for systems-level change for immigrants. We are organizing members and allies to pass statewide legislation to disentangle local police and federal immigration enforcement and prevent Massachusetts taxpayer dollars from financing deportation and family separation.
- Stand in solidarity with immigrant workers leading our grassroots movement. We are an organization of, by and for immigrant workers. Our members make decisions about organizational strategy and campaigns.
"I had the opportunity to become a member of the Workers Center, and then a member of the Board of Directors. As a farmworker, I am aware of the many needs that the immigrant community has. I have lived through and seen many of the abuses that employers inflict on their workers, and the contempt we receive. I have felt the impotence of not knowing who to ask for help. Now, as a member of the Workers Center and the Board of Directors, I know that knowledge is power. The Workers Center spreads this power within the community. "--Jose M.
The Worker Center is driven by the people power of thousands of folks like you, in every sense.
Over the past five years, we’ve built a strong grassroots network of activists who share their time and talents to support worker-led campaigns. Together, we are part of building a multi-racial and multi-class movement, organizing for immigrants’ and workers’ rights.
We’ve accomplished a lot, including:
- Launching a campaign for licenses for all in collaboration with a state-wide coalition, mobilizing thousands to participate in actions and advocacy.
- Sustaining and growing resilient mutual aid networks to support our members.
- Growing our Worker Committees
- Incubating a worker coop farm with our farmworker members.
With you, we can accomplish so much more! Make a one time gift or consider becoming a Sustainer by making a monthly pledge.
